Lakeside Prairie Farm is a small family farm focusing on goat grazing for invasive species control and custom grazing beef. Bryan and Jessie Simon’s goal is to produce fresh, flavorful, and healthy food, while improving soil health, water quality, wildlife habitat, and the vitality of our rural community.  Our animals are raised without the use of antibiotics, hormones, chemical pesticides or fertilizers. What sets us apart from other farms is our commitment to improving and maintaining the native prairie, wetlands, and oak savanna on our farm while producing great food.  We’re located in west central Minnesota, near Barrett, 30 miles west of Alexandria.  We would love to show you around our farm.

If you have ordered our beef before, we thank you. We have transitioned our farm from mainly grass-fed beef to raising our herd of goats that can be rented on your property for buckthorn removal. Please see our goat page for more info.
